Interactive Story Format – Cook Book

With this format we bring a very popular and preferred user experience into banner ads – a multi slide interactive carousel story. We focus on vertical representations and provide interactivity by letting users swipe through the different slides, much like the well-known story format from various social media platforms.

The idea for the example here was to promote a new cook book on the market. We positioned an in-banner video at the top created specifically to portray the cook book itself, in full. The rest of the banner embeds the interactive story carousel concept. It consists of four slides, each depicting different recipes listed in the book and original photographs of the dishes. The last slide was created specifically for the book – it includes a short description, a large call-to-action button, price of the product and free delivery option.

To create a real story experience, we set story markers indicating the different slides of the book and the brand name. To keep things spicy we also set a sound effect when users list through the slides – a sweeping page sound effect to create a feeling of a real book at the touch of the fingers.
