Scratch to Reveal+In-banner video – Product Promotion

For our latest product promotion of hair removal wax we were looking for a creative way to engage the audience and get the users closer to the real experience. The solution was a banner with both a Scratch-to-Reveal slide and In-banner Video . The principle of the banner is simple yet playful: the user is urged to “clear” the wax off of the woman’s skin using their mouse cursor (or finger on Mobile). Then, the second slide is revealed and an incorporated video plays which shows the waxing product itself and how to use it. We set the video to auto-play, placed the website logo up high and added a big call-to-action button at the bottom for maximum awareness.

This HTML5 banner ad provides a novel way for end-users to interact with the brand. We creatively bridge the gap between business and consumers by incorporating two interactive slides in just one banner. As we have mentioned before, scratch-to-reveal is a great way to get grasp attention while the in-banner video manages to portray the product and provide visual information which cannot be beat by any textual ad message.
